Wheelhouse Foundation DFW and NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory have signed a partnership agreement to bring hands-on CubeSat design experiences to 500 high school students starting in Spring 2025.
Students will work in teams to design scientific payloads for a CubeSat form factor, receiving mentorship from JPL engineers. The top three designs will be reviewed for potential inclusion in a future educational mission.
"Giving high school students a genuine role in real space science is transformative," said Dr. Priya Nair of JPL's Education Office. "We're thrilled to work with Wheelhouse to make this happen at scale."
